The networks goal is to educate and bring different cultures and lifestyles into a different light, while not following the protocol of an average television network. Viceland is the only network to successfully be ambiguous towards a multitude of cultures and people, meanwhile creating the same riveting quality as tragedy journalism through sending journalists into the area they are reporting on and creating documentaries where they collecting primary source information. The goal is to convey emotion without bias.
